Sophisticated international network and services provisioning
The basis for the international provisioning of ICSS’s comprehensive service offering is an expanding state-of-the-art infrastructure - the international network of Deutsche Telekom.
Please use the “ICSS Interactive Network Map” to obtain detailed information about the coverage of our international network and services.
State-of-the-art: the international network of Deutsche Telekom
All ICSS services and solutions are provided and managed by a dedicated technical infrastructure and service production unit, Global Networks, which is responsible for Deutsche Telekom’s international network operations, maintenance, and service provisioning.
Efficient realization of large customer projects
ICSS closely cooperates with Global Networks to ensure the efficient realization of all customer projects and the timely delivery of services and implementation needs.
Together, we have the resources to further develop and maintain our worldwide telecommunications infrastructure with access points in all major cities and manage and optimize all types of networks for our carrier customers and their customers when requested.
Seamless network coverage across Europe
Through Deutsche Telekom’s ongoing international network expansion program of partnerships and, in some cases, acquisitions, ICSS has established a significant international presence. ICSS has more than 75 PoPs for voice interconnection, 51 IP Transit PoPs in 20 countries and 74 IP Transit PoPs throughout Germany. ICSS's Carrier Intranet Service is available in more than 80 countries and its Circuit Solution EoM is available at 46 PoPs. In addition, ICSS has 45 PoPs for GRX and IPX. City-to-City interconnection is possible at more than 80 PoPs internationally and more than 70 PoPs throughout Germany. ICSS's WiFi Roaming Solution is available in 30 countries and its Content Delivery Solution at 16 PoPs.
Economies of scale through high volumes of traffic
With a monthly IP traffic volume of 235 petabytes and around 21 billion voice minutes a year, Deutsche Telekom’s international network is the network of choice for carriers, service providers, and their customers on a global scale. Our international infrastructure is monitored proactively 24/7 by the International Network Management Center (INMC) in Frankfurt, Germany.
Shaping the future – preparing the all-IP world
ICSS and Global Networks started their joint Next Generation Voice International (NGVI) project, whose objective is to replace existing TDM switches with VoIP soft switches.
This VoIP-based infrastructure of NGVI supports all voice services, including TDM and packet-switched services, with quality of service and allows the international provisioning of new QoS-enabled services and products for carriers and service providers. For ICSS and Global Networks, this project is an important milestone in the move to an all-IP network, which has been forecast by all important industry analysts.
